Utilisation of whey fermentation products for antimicrobial modification of biodegradable polymers

I would like to thank all the people who helped me and supported me during my doctoral studies. First of all, let me thank my supervisor prof. Ing. Vladimír Sedlařík, Ph.D., for his leading and for giving me the base ideas of this work. He gave me the opportunity to work on a number of projects within his research group at the Centre of Polymer Systems, as well as the opportunity to attend various conferences, training and other events providing me valuable experience for my scientific development. My gratitude also goes to my mentors at practical internships in Austria and Spain, Assoc. prof. Adriána Kovalčík and Dr. Eugenia Núñez. I thank both of them for providing a friendly work environment, their professional and kind approach, advice and willingness to help me with everything. My special thanks belong to all my colleagues from the Centre of Polymer Systems and other departments of Faculty of Technology of Tomas Bata University in Zlín for their collaboration, help, enthusiasm and friendly approach not only in science but also in everyday life.
