The sScientific peer-reviewed monograph, as a result of the project KEGA 003TnUAD-4/2022, deals with computational simulations of basic and specific experiments in uniaxial and multiaxial loading of polymers, hyperelastic materials and composites based on experimental data using FEM software to create a virtual computational-experimental laboratory of mechanical tests. The monograph consists of nine chapters plus a Reference list. After the Introduction to the problem and defined Aims of the research work, Chapter 3 deals with the Determination of material parameters of elastomers as composite matrices for their use as input data for simulations. Chapter 4 explains the creation of computational models of the APDL (Ansys Parametric Design Language) procedure. Chapters 5 to 8 are crucial because they are devoted to computational simulations, specifically single-layer and two-layer composites in uniaxial tension in Chapter 5, shear simulations and specific tensile tests in Chapter 6, simulations of composites under biaxial loading in Chapter 7 and simulations for the purpose of predicting the mechanical behaviour of long-fibre composites in Chapter 8. The Conclusions briefly summarize important findings. For simulations of basic mechanical tests as well as specific tests, which include tests with the application of the so-called Arcan sample, FEM software product Ansys with the addition of support programs for determining the input material parameters as inputs to the simulations are used. Composites consist of an elastomeric rubber matrix and textile or steel cords as reinforcement. Stress-strain analyses are performed. The Ansys APDL procedure is used to create computational models simply and quickly. Computational simulations of experiments in this monograph could provide students with a comprehensive overview of the addressed issue of polymers and composites. The monograph also includes computational models created by APDL procedures in the Ansys Mechanical program on the DVD. The monograph can also be used as a study literature as a university textbook for university students.
