The last title of the first trilogy Amazonía unida is linked to the col-loquium of the same name organized annually by members of the consortium “United for the Development of the Amazon” (UNIDA). The book contains 13 chapters thematically grouped into three sec-tions. The first section focuses on sociocultural issues, the second on health issues, and the last on environmental issues. The international interdisciplinary research team that prepared this title is coordinated by the corresponding authors from Ecuador, Peru, and the Czech Republic. These authors are mainly dedicated to the protection of the Amazon rainforest, its nature and the people who inhabit it.
